My son attended the LRSH for over 3 years. The education and care provided were outstanding. They balance structured learning time with play. Age appropriate discipline is matched by genuine compassion. I believe my son received more individualized attention at this intimate setting compared to what I observed at the larger centers. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are spacious. Ms. Melanie and her staff are meticulous about cleaning and sanitizing. My son remained healthy and happy throughout his participation in the program. While at work, I was at peace, knowing he was safe, learning and under good care…especially with his asthma and nut allergy. He always looked forward to going there and was always disappointed when it was time to leave! Ms. Melanie, Anthony and the entire staff were a remarkable influence on my son’s development. We are so grateful to them. We plan on bringing his younger brother to the LRSH just as soon as he is old enough.
My son, now 5 years old and starting kindergarten, has been attending the Little Red Schoolhouse for the past two years. They have done a wonderful job preparing him for kindergarten and beyond, in a very safe and nurturing environment. Over these two years he has brought home so many neat art projects that they have done at school, along with worksheets demonstrating his progress with the basics of reading, writing and math. There are always 2 teachers in the classroom to give each child the individualized attention that preschoolers need, and they do an excellent job getting the children prepared for a more structured school environment. Also, there is a great big outdoor play area for them to “get their energy out”! The owner/director Melanie has always been so helpful and responsive with everything as well. Overall we have had a great experience and would absolutely recommend Little Red Schoolhouse!
I wish The Little Red Schoolhouse was around when my older son was in preschool. Comparing his experience to my my younger son’s experience at The Little Red Schoolhouse…well, there IS no comparison. You simply cannot find a more loving, nurturing place for your child. You feel like you are leaving your children with family. One day our garage door wouldn’t open and the kids were going on a trip, so we didn’t want our son to miss it. Anthony came to our house to pick our son up. After my son “graduated” (the graduation ceremony is so sweet, bring tissues!), Melanie called to ask if my husband would play Santa for the kids. These are the little personal touches that made our experience so special. I still keep in touch with Melanie and consider her a friend. She put so much love and time into my child, and gave him a wonderful head start for Kindergarten. I am truly appreciative.
