I highly discourage anyone from going to this school because of the way they conduct their business with their students. My experience is with my daughter attending Lu Ross as a current student. For months now my daughter has been contacting the administrators to inform them that they are failing to credit her for days that she is either in school, or attending zoom classes.
She has communicated both verbally and by email, and provided the necessary documentation to both Veronica and Monique. After providing the documentation. She has been told numerous times that they will fix the missing hours and credit her appropriately. This has been going on since February 2023. My daughter is missing several days of attendance that are not being recorded which is resulting in my daughter having to stay in school more days and will result in her having to pay more money.
This is a common practice at Lu Ross and it appears that they take advantage of the young and vulnerable students to take their money without providing them with the tools necessary to be successful. Knowing the students wont know how to pursue legal recourse.
Another issue of concern is that in Lu Ross brochure, and in the paperwork that they have students sign when they enroll. Lu Ross states specifically what the school will provide in their courses as well as what supplies they will provide which is misleading and false. The students have voiced to the administrators their concerns in not being provided with the curriculum and supplies as told to them in the tour and in writing.
Also, the school has known safety issues when it comes to the equipment the students use such as the chairs that have broken while in use. Which resulted in a student hitting her head on a hard surface.
There are not enough work stations for all of the students that are attending. The equipment is old and broken. The administration and the owner are failing to provide a safe and proper learning environment.
I have seen firsthand how Lu Ross runs their business and they need to be investigated for their negligence to their students.
Save yourself money and grief and find another school.

DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS SCHOOL. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. if i could leave zero stars, i would. i had a terrible experience during my time in the esthetician program, the staff is very unprofessional the equipment was broken and never clean. Multiple times when my teacher was not present, unannounced, and the school had no answers for us. leading us to miss out on a lot of teachings and when us students tried to speak up the teacher was very unfair. now present day i have been calling to try and schedule my state test and no answers PLUS the voicemail box is full. i have responsibilities and a job i cannot leave work and hope and pray someone will be there to assist me, i would call ahead but what do you know NO ANSWER EVER. very unprofessional and a waste of money, just trying to save yours too !!!!
Hi everyone! Today, I had a few hair services done with Caroline S., including a dye, wash and blowdry. Her skills are excellent and it was such a pleasure to be around her. She literally puts the pros to shame and I have nothing but great things to say about her. Her treatment of me during my visit was stellar and the services she offers are 1st rate. Caroline truly went above and beyond for me today and you don’t find many true souls like that. Lu Ross Academy has a diamond in their shop and I see nothing but great things coming from her, now and in her future. I would recommend everyone to visit her if you want the BEST and a beautiful personality to boot. I am so happy with the way my hair turned out and I will be returning again soon to complete my hair goal.
