My experience with Lutheran South Unity School was when I attended a Unity School & Holy Cross basketball game on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 and the coach of Unity had two to three players benched for the entire game while the starter group of ball players ran the entire game without rest or a fresh player in the game.
Parents were complaining about the loss of the game and the mismanagement by the coach. One player was visibly seen saying that he was tired in the 3rd quarter but the Coach told him to stay in the game and keep his head up! What?! Why did he not use the two players on the bench who had sat there for the entire game? Why didn’t he give the starter 5 students a break to rest and use those two rested players.
One of the young players on the bench was so upset that he was sat on the bench watching his team lose the game and did not play once! I did not like what I experienced at this Unity basketball game as a visiting guest. I did not enjoy seeing a young man crying and upset because the coach would not let him play during the entire game!
Even though everyone could see that the players on the floor was very tired! What was going on with that Coach?!
My family and I will not attend another basketball game that Lutheran South Unity School is playing. It was no surprise that Unity lost that game. All the players were exhausted!
LSUS truly loves their students and works very hard to provide them with the things they need for the level that they are at.
My oldest son is very bright. After attending LSUS, he took the placement test for his private high school, he tested as fourth highest in the incoming freshman class and recieved a scholarship for high school. He is now on a full ride for academics at an Ivy-level college on the eadt foadt. Obviously, LSUS prepared him well for him for highschool and gave him the foundation to build off of for long-term academic success.
My youngest daughter currently attends LSUS. She needs more assistance, and she gets it. LSUS bends over backwards to get every child what s/he needs. She is loved and supported beyond any possible expectation that one could have for a school and I am very grateful to LSUS for the work that they do and for the sincere love and level of caring that they show to their students.
If you want for your child to go to a school where s/he is loved and where you can be confident that every measure will be taken and no stone will be left unturned when it comes to her/his care and education, look no farther than LSUS.
