This school is absolutely awesome! My child commutes from Queens to Hells Kitchen for 90 min each way and it is well worth it! Theres a great sense of community, partnership and advancement at UAG! The guidance counselors Go above and beyond for the students in helping them manage their classes and keeping Parents well informed. And there are lots of opportunities for the students to Get extra help with each subject or extra credit if necessary. The trips and clubs also make the school fun and exciting! Whats amazing is how the incoming freshmen attend overnight camp before school starts to get acquainted with school staff and make new friends! The advancement/enrichment/job/internship opportunities are well linked here so the school itself also goes above and beyond for each student. The principal always makes time and get back to you on everything…Thats the benefit of a smaller school!
My son attends this school and it is awesome! The communication is outstanding. They are very supportive and all the guidance counselors have been very attentive to my child’s needs. My son has made some very good friends here and I never worry about him getting into trouble in or outside of school. UAG is both academic and fun driven. The school has a strong community. The principal is a great leader. So happy my son is in this school and he is now a senior.
My son’s school they very informative let you know everything and let you know they love their job and the welfare of the students.
