I graduated from Madison High School, attended Madison Jr. High, Madison Middle School, and Adams Elementary school. I have family that teaches at the Jr. High, Middle School, and Kennedy. I can honestly say that if you are looking for a good school district to enroll your child into, there is no better district than Madison. I participated in the Fine Arts program (drama and band) and they were very fun. Robert Hibbard (the drama teacher at the high school) does a great job editing the plays that he wants to produce so that they are family friendly. Dan North, the band director at the high school, does a fantastic job with all of the band programs. While the band competes in several competitions throughout the year, Mr. North doesn’t necessarily care if the band wins any awards, but he is much more concerned with teaching his students qualities that will help them in life such as leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect. All of the teachers that I had growing up were fantastic and, as I said, I have family that teach with the district and they are excellent teachers as well.
I could spend hours bragging about how great the Madison school district is. They have a foundation called them Madison cares and they work really hard to make the school district one of the best in the country. They really love the kids in the school district and they work really hard to make the children feel loved.
Madison School District and Madison Cares have been surprisingly proactive in the community with positive initiatives to prevent negative issues like abuse, depression, and drugs. They have many programs to help kids. Even one for me baby girl who is 18 months. Heartfelt thanks to JESSICA, Deb, Tonya, and all of you!
