This school is amazing, changed me forever. I came in as a young shy boy, 5 years went by, then I came out as a Student Executive with good academic records and leadership qualities. I’m now studying Astrophysics with a Bachelor of Science at the University of Canterbury, and there is a possibility that I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the amazing teaching staff and wonderful learning environment I was enticed in at Mairehau High School. I highly recommend sending your kids to this school if you are looking for high school options within the area!
Some of the students from this school are very rude and disrespectful. I have seen them swearing and shouting at people from other schools and being very rude to residents who dare to look at them while they holler obsenities to people, and they wonder why they are being looked at? If thats any indication of what the school is like I definitely wont be sending my child there!
My two older children went to Mairehau Harry Romana started on my Daughters last year of high school, they had a good experience there. I am so pleased it is doing so well and a great asset to the community.
Parking at the school is horrible and dangerous especially in the morning and afternoon
