I visited Maize Road Elementary School today. The door was locked, and the kids in the hallway went and brought back a Mr. Dennis to help me. What a nice and great guy. I told him I was delivering a cage to the Special Needs teacher who also works in animal rescue. He walked over and tapped on a classroom window to tell her I was there. She came outside to meet me and unlock her car. Then Mr. Dennis said he would carry the big cage from my car to hers. My only experience was today in the parking lot with the school’s congenial, polite, good-natured and helpful Janitor, Mr. Dennis, but I am sure all the students and staff enjoy interacting with this very nice gentleman every day, and I just wanted to comment what a great asset he is to the school.
I really don’t understand how this school could have such a low rating. After my child was displaced by another nearby school, without me even knowing it, the principal welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond her “duties” to get her and us situated and straightened the whole mess out. I wish the other principal was more professional during the situation, but I’m VERY EXCITED for my daughter to now be at Maize!!! I will admit I was upset due to seeing the rating, but I can now see that you can’t go by them at all.
I love this school the teachers are nice I wish my others friends didn’t have to leave ??But overall it’s a pretty good I’ve never been bullied by any of the kids the kids are great and so are the teachers.
