My children have been with the Manara family of schools since it was first established, and with the stem campus since it opened. I have to say I’m very disappointed with some of the reviews I have seen here. Some of which are from very spoiled, underachieving students who made up complete lies about the staff and lunch selections. Some of those same students were bullies themselves and have no place to complain about the problem of bullying.
I have been a member of the PTO for 3 of the 5 years my children have been in attendance and I have seen first hand how much work our staff does to make this school as good as it can be.
Manara Stem has greatly improved in recent years. And while there have been setbacks and bumps in the road, I can assure you that your children will be safe and cared for at this campus.
I do not like this school because the principal, Dr. Taylor, does not treat the students in a respectful and polite way. On the contrary, she yells and yells at the students when they are taken from school quickly, quickly, I walk fast and the car gets into them without saying hey to me. No respect for parents. Miss Taylor does not deserve to be in charge at this school. Because she does not like to discuss, put the blame on me if I wanted to talk to her. Do we really live in a country of civility and respect for others?
Also, eating is unhealthy and not alone, as well as bullying and paying among students. This is a problem that must be solved
My child has been a student at Manara STEM for four years. Each year the school has improved. The teachers are very caring and work very hard, they always go the extra mile. I have volunteered weekly and have observed the teachers and staff in action. Everyone there cares about the students and campus, they work hard for our kids to succeed. I have volunteered during lunch for years and know that the food is always served hot and completely cooked. Any expired milk is thrown out and not served to students. When the city of Arlington comes to inspect, our school gets a perfect rating. I look forward to my student’s years to come at Manara STEM.
