Terrinle school. Disregard children who are special or have additional needs. Absolutely Disgusting. My little brother has suffered in this school with bullying and it was brushed under the carpet over and over again. But when he was to do something they would be quick to give him a detention. Honestly -1 star if I could rate that low.
i attend this school and there are so many fights terrible. attend this school if you want to fight speak like a road man and get yelled at for no reason by a teacher known as ms tahani they also served my friend raw chicken and say they will make us sit on the sports hall floor and eat there just because there was a bit of litter
As an ex-student at MA all I have to say is this – the issue is not with the teachers or the school itself, but with the pupils. I got an in year transfer in year 7 and I’ve attended this school until year 9. I really like the teacher’s attitudes and how they’re trying to make everything better to cope with, for example the STRIDE room. It really helped me as a person suffering from anxiety as I had a pass and could come out of my lessons to help me chill out.
The school really helped me improve in at least 80% of the subjects, especially English!
However, bullying as an LGBTQ+ person at the school happened daily, it happened so often that I got tired of having to report it at the end of the day, so I just stopped. If you’re LGBTQ+, whether you are out or not please go to Miss Byrne or Miss Flowers! They are the ones that have helped me the most while studying at MA.
Over all, I think the only problem is with the students. Every year I was there and the new year 7’s came around they were very rude, and they’re only getting ruder and ruder each year. I think the school should be much more stricter with them, as with the attitude they have got now I don’t think they’re gonna get any job in the future. – Update: heard the behavioural rules have changed since I left. Glad to hear that!
P.S. This review was made by a teen that also had his fair share of behavioural problems while studying here!
Very very very bad school, if you want to fight go to that school. I studied at it and went to college for recovering. You can have no proper lesson because of the student behaviour. This school is dangerous, students are being like gangs with knifes, me and my brother was there and my brother had an attack by some students by knife which forced him to undergo a major surgery. DON’T SEND YOUR CHILDREN, IF ANY THING HAPPENS NO ONE YOU CAN COMPLAIN TO.
Definitely do not send your child to this school. The teachers are so disrespectful to the students. My daughter has been called a coward by a teacher. She has been told by another teacher that she is bigger and stronger than my daughter. Strange in other school’s oarents go in complaining of other student’s. Yet i go in complaining of 3 different teachers. This school needs a good clear out of uneducated teachers. On the plus side they do have a good ASD unit very caring and supportive in the unit. I totally do not see them together and separate them both. It would get 5 stars if was a special scool and teachers like they have in the ASD unit.
