Before this school I was being raised in the St. Louis City Public Schools which were a joke even back then. In the St. Louis schools if you needed help in class to understand a lesson you were told to re-read it until you understood it. The teachers didn’t want to take the time to help us, so grades were mostly D’s with some C’s.
But in Marie Schaffer School, the teachers would spend as much time as you needed until you understood any lesson. So I finally started learning and my grades quickly rose from D’s and C’s to mostly A’s with some B’s.
