This school is not as bad as others my boys have gone too first of all. The office staff is exceptional! My issues with the school is this. I agree with Nicole, another comment that she posted, in regards to recess and lunch recess. The teachers are not paying enough attention to all the students. They need more adults out there watching. Also with the bathrooms. My boy had issues with kids bullying him and teasing, once again nothing is done. He has a IEP and learning difficulties. I will say everyone that I have met that work’s there was nice. Plus at every meeting with the IEP team was great. It is difficult to support the school when you are on a fixed income. The list of items that are required for each student to bring in plus they want a $20 donation to go towards more supplies when you have more that one child starting school is not supposed to break the bank and stress you out it should be a exciting time. So after spending $100 on supplies and donations IM still left to purchase there school clothes shoes backpacks etc. … Also when you have a disabled child and they have to miss school they will call child protective services if they miss like 5 days.Never in my life have I ever had that called on me…I was in shock. The school did tell me they called and it was because of the absences. ..even though they knew why nothing came of it…. It was totally unnecessary. Its because the school wants that money!!! Home schooling is looking better and better!
Mrs. Lynch made a good impression on my daughter and my daughter really liked her. But it seems like when they are at recess not enough teachers are watching. My daughter was in kindergarten and a 1st grader told her if she didn’t get up that she would kick my daughters a**. Nothing was done. Then My daughter went to another class to watch a movie and told the teacher she was thirsty the teacher told her no. I’m sorry but not letting a 5 year old have water is unacceptable no matter what the circumstances are. And again nothing was done. Then a classmate of hers at recess choked her and all that was done was the parents were told. Not staff I want taking care of my daughter
