Maryel School is a family-owned intimate community that is welcoming and loving, exactly what I want my toddlers to feel for their first school drop-off experiences. My son attended Maryel Manhattan before the pandemic and we only left due to moving to CT during a time of global chaos. A couple of years later, when I heard that Maryel opened their doors in Westchester, I was overjoyed and immediately signed my daughter up for their 3s program, where she is now. I drive 40 minutes there and back to ensure my daughter gets this special experience as she’s developing. She runs into the school each morning with excitement, forgetting to say goodbye to me and I am comforted knowing that she is getting not only the best immersive spanish education, which is important to me, but her emotional needs are being met too. The owners are wonderful and always accommodate our family’s individual needs. This is the only school experience I trust for my little ones, at such impressionable ages and I’m truly grateful to the owners for creating such a place.

My daughter is in the Pre-K 3 program and has been there for a year. She LOVES going to school and has learned so much this year. What I love about this school is that it is an ACTUAL school with a didactic program even for 3 and 4 year olds. They still play and have fun even when they are doing their “school work”. She has learned SO MUCH Spanish and uses it even at home! I am so happy Maryel came to Westchester. This location is a new one but the school itself is not new. They have a Manhattan school and a School in Spain which has been established for ~20 years. The only reason I did not give 5 stars at this point is that the school has had a hard time finding qualified and consistent teachers. I do not blame this on the school though especially with the post-covid teacher pool. What I do value is the commitment to finding the RIGHT teachers with the qualifications and standards that Maryel requires. We are very happy and look forward to next year!

We decided to enroll both our girls in the Maryel School because we wanted to expose them to Spanish language on a more consistent basis, and we felt the small learning environment would be a nice transition out of daycare. Both our girls love their teachers and the friends they’ve made. Earlier in the year, the school shared parent info with families and they helped us create a great sense of community. We plan parties and play dates together, keep each other informed and even go out to “Maryel Mama’s” dinner every once in a while. It’s been a wonderful experience and we are so glad to have this opportunity in Westchester.
