Mastery Learning Academy has been the BEST for our youngest, who is in 11th grade. This is our child’s second year at Mastery Learning Academy and she has learned more in the short amount of time at the school then she did during her 2 years in Junior High and 1 year in High. Sabrina listens and respects parental involvement whereas the public school counselor had the nerve to tell our oldest child, over 6 years ago while he was attending public school and struggling, that maybe we (parents) were too much in his life. Yes we were, and still are with our youngest because that is our responsibility as a parent to be involved in our children’s education.

Mastery Learning Academy strongly encourages open discussions with healthy opposing opinions. Our child did not like participating in the public school classroom discussions because having a different point of view or belief is marginally accepted in the public school if it did not align with the teachings. Mastery Learning Academy tells us that our child participates and very enthusiastically shares what she learned during the discussions with us. It gives us so much joy to see our child feel worthy, have confidence, and a sense of self worth again. Master Learning Academy is focused on each individual child, their individual learning style, and mastery of lessons at their individual pace.

Mastery Learning Academy gives High School students and parents the flexibility to build into the schedule their choice of elective classes through sources of the families choosing. For example, a graduation requirement is personal finance. We, as a family, did our research and felt that the Dave Ramsey Personal Finance course would be the best fit for our child. Now she is taking an Economics 101 course through Hillsdale College. She would also like to take a certification course in Adobe Illustrator. If our child had stayed in the public school system she would have wasted 4 years on electives that would not have benefited her and her career goals because of the limitations on course offerings. Mastery Learning Academy is focused on the individual child’s success through to graduation and beyond.

If you’re child struggles in the one size fits all public school system or you’re tired of being excluded from the decision making power of your child’s education than Mastery Learning Academy is the school for you.

Mastery Learning Academy and Sabrina have been an absolute game changer for our two boys. They immediately made a 180 on their attitude about school, and loved going to school to learn. They were challenged to research, think on their own and make an educated decision on topics instead of just buying into what they are fed in the media. They come home and discuss what they are doing and learning in school. Our boys are more confident and are excelling academically and socially. It has been refreshing to send them to a school that doesn’t work against the efforts we put in as parents.

One son had been behind and in resource programs since starting 1st grade, and hated every minute of it. Attending MLA, he was able to catch up, enjoys learning, is much more engaged, and graduated this year. I don’t believe he would have graduated this year without this school.

Our 2nd son refused to go to school and had become socially reclusive in public and charter schools. MLA has been the ultimate game changer for him. He is now flourishing in every way and we are extremely proud and happy for what he is accomplishing.

I’m not sure what Tracy is talking about. All three of my kids were years behind in math and reading when going to public school. Now they are on task and getting ahead. This place provides a great environment for all kids, it allows them to be themselves, instead of sticking a square peg into a circle. It’s not a one size fits all curriculum and it allows the children to have open discussions and question things, doesn’t have all the ridiculous stuff being found in public schools right now. My kids are now thriving instead of drowning in public school, and don’t think we didn’t try to help our kids improve in public school, after working all day, my husband and I would work on helping them. If you want your kids to have an actual education, great values to allow your kids to grow up into decent adults and not the stuff being brought into schools now, this is the place to have your kids go.
