We started with Mater Academy of Northern Nevada since they open, hoping to find the right school for our children. And happily I can say we did. The entire staff is wonderful from Office, Admin and teachers. Everyone at the school truly cares for each student. It’s a uniform school because they believe in unity, which sends a great message to our children. The open communication with teachers is priceless. They have been phenomenal during this pandemic and making sure every family had what was needed to get through the education of our children. Thank you Mater Academy for making my children education the best experience.
They talk up a good we can help your child succeed but they stated they do not have the staffing to manage behaviors suggested I move my child to WCSD where they are much bigger and can deal with my child. My child has an IEP and they would send him home regularly for outbursts. My child was adopted from foster care. The little guy misses his biological family and has a hard time communicating & self regulating. They didnt so much as say bye to us when I withdrew my child. Im sure they happy they dont have to deal with my child. Thats how they made us feel anyhow.
Mater Academy Of Norther Nevada is an excellent school where they teach students (PRIDE) perseverance, respect, integrity, dedication to excellence, empathy. The mater team works hard to improve day by day, they are a great big family. I love the uniform and they are so kind and they are always helping us when ever we need it
