My overall experience isn’t anything to write home about. This is my daughter’s second year here. Things have gone down since last school year. Some of the staff members are VERY unprofessional. Due to my schedule, i am unable to visit the school during normal business hours. However, I always call to schedule phone conferences when there is an issue or I need information. I’ve left several messages but had an extremely hard time receiving a call back. Last Wednesday i spoke with the principal. She assured me that she would look into the matter and give me a call back by the end of the business day. Needless to say, I am still waiting on that call. I even called back and left additional messages on Friday, yesterday and today. Today I called to speak to a specific teacher in regards to my daughter grades. She told the office clerk to tell me she isn’t accepting or returning phone calls. I’ve also had teachers tell me they never received a message from me which clearly display a lack of communication on their behalf. The sponsor for the majorette auxiliary group also has a very rude and distasteful disposition.
Another issue is the academics. Teachers who are assigned to core courses are constantly quitting. My daughter had 3 English teachers this year. As a result, the students aren’t receiving adequate ACT prep or consistent lessons. The school doesn’t offer dual enrollment, they don’t go on college tours nor do they have AP and/or honor courses for the students. All of the above are underlying factors contributing to poor test scores and the overall school average which is currently a D.
My next step is to get in contact with the superintendent or someone of higher authority who will properly and professionally assist with some of these issues.
This school is the absolute flatest of them all. This school is as flat as they come. They a flat 35 and a flat McDonough. You yes you is flat. To many flat people in this world. The cow is the true sharp. Moo.
