This is one of the oldest facilities in the area and it shows in the physical building. They work hard to keep it maintained, but you can see its age. However, as a parent, I looked for the education more than the ceiling tiles. This is a school where you truly get out what you put in. I have hired LD graduates and been far less than impressed. At the same time, my child and her friends graduated from here in 2015 and received one of the best educations available. The IB teachers are incredible – knowledgeable, supportive and put in a lot of energy to help the kids succeed. There are newer, fancier schools in the area but I don’t think that guarantees a better education. If I had younger children, I would not hesitate to have them attend LDHS. However, if your kid isn’t a self starter and isn’t prepared to work for their education, they wont get much out of any High School.
Great school! I graduated here and Iam proud my kids will be doing the same!
Teachers,admin.,coaches seem to be well involoved in their students.
