I strongly dislike this school it is very bad, the concrete here is made out of 10 year old+ gum and the people keep spraying deodorant in the faces of other people. If you think the bathroom is used for doing your business you’d be wrong, people vaping, stuffing random stuff down the toilets and smearing unidentified substances all over the wall and doors, it makes me sick, Five stars, greatest school ever.
I attend this school and honestly it is terrible, teachers are not paid enough to care for the students, they have staff that are racist, homophopic, and ableist. Toilets are either shut or ripped to pieces and teachers do not allow students to use the bathrooms. Do not let your child step foot near this school it is horrible.
Haven’t had children who attended this school as yet but they were involved with local Primary Schools as part of the 2017 Arts Extravaganza. They worked with young children at these Primary Schools to teach and perform several dances at a special evening here at the college. It was well run and entertaining and my children who were a part of it were so excited to perform for a large audience. Thank you Melba for your hard work and dedication to this wonderful community project
I’m a student that attends Melba Copland Secondary School and it is a marvellous school that utilises in pushing boundless and building bonds between students to create a great environment. This school’s staff, teachers and assistants really do help students engage in learning.
Later edit: over my years of learning, the best thing that one kid can do is be confident and not be that weird kid. Make sure you help your kids become better overall and they will breeze through it. Remember: don’t let them be weird, take them out for sports and martial arts, social clubs outside school to really get them to come out of the shell, lastly make sure they are cracking down on their habits and mentality/inteligence.
Good luck with kids- sincerely an 18-year-old
I’m a student here and it’s truly terrible. Disgusting, filthy utilities, so dirty. Never any soap in bathrooms. Staff don’t care; they let things slide easily. You only get suspended if you kick or punch someone in the head, no punishment if you attack elsewhere.
