Went to this for approximately 8 Years and i feel so terrible to see this reviews calling it good. In my overall, the teachers i don’t appreciate and i once had to witness a teacher tell a student he had no future, honestly i don’t know what to say but please reconsider if you choose to go here.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This school has gone from strength to strength and every year the progress of my children’s learning has over exceeded my expectations. The school has great extracurricular activities, including links to Chelsea football, gymnastics clubs and community links to mention a few.

It has amazingly supportive teachers that put all the effort in adhering to the child’s and parents needs.

Since my children first started their teachers have always addressed gaps in their learning with extra resources and guidance. I get regular feedback on every thing from their wellbeing, behaviour and learning. As a parent being supported in your child’s learning is paramount, that’s why I highly recommend Melcombe primary school.

I don’t really now why it took me too long to write about Melcombe primary school. anyway it is not to late… we were new to the country in 2019 and we registered our daughter to year 2 and she was new for the language and everything but in few months she start talking English writing and reading we felt home and family with the school very i wish my kids will be in Melcombe until university
Outstanding school
Thank you
Fantastic school, with dedicated and caring staff. Can not ask for more, both my kids go there and we postponed moving homes just to be near this school. The best local authority school in west London
Not too sure about the educational experience, but the school’s sense of responsibility to the surrounding community is absolutely appalling. Every single morning, as I attempt to access my parking space close to the school, I am barracked, threatened, shouted and sworn at, and generally mistreated by some of the worst drivers I have ever seen on Britain’s roads. It’s like a fusion of demolition derby and an out-of-control football crowd!
Despite several attempts to contact the school’s administrators and Headmaster (by various methods), I have been roundly ignored.
Once, during an afternoon, I was blocked by a double-parking parent (there were many available parking spaces nearby) and needed to get to an appointment. After calling the school, I was told “Sorry – the site agent will come straight out and help you”. Nobody came, despite me waiting 30 minutes (and missing my appointment), and they never answered the phone again or returned my messages.
Living and working near MPS is utter misery, due to the complete disregard amongst the parents and faculty for neighbours. If you are thinking of sending your children there, may I suggest investing in a set of ear-defenders (to protect the little ones from the foul language and road-rage threats), and a set of blinkers to prevent them from learning some of the worst driving ever seen in London.
