Teaching has really gone down in the last two years. The treatment of the girls there have been appalling especially of the senior students BY the teachers. The language and comments and threats made against the girls are atrocious, the teachers who are in charge of the senior years have become incredibly aggressive and I have heard horror stories from countless girls who come in to my workplace when I ask how they are as I recognise their uniform and even my sisters coming home. Having been a student there I had throughly enjoyed my schooling years but it seems the new regime has affected every single girl who studies there, would’ve of definitely recommended the school when I left, however due to the mistreatment of the teachers to the students would not recommend it to anyone. And my parents are genuinely considering pulling my sisters out of the school as the right dose cone there is horrid. The best teachers have gone and the good ones left are tired and can see how far Mercy has fallen down.
Some teachers and kids try to promote positive culture. Average academic support which will depends on teachers you get and subjects you do. Facilities and resources are limited compared to other public schools within the area. A few administrators don’t recognise need for accommodating difficulties students face at school or home.
My daughter is doing well here, I do think that there needs to be a share with the Boy’s school (Pius X) as regards sporting facilities.
I know nothing about the academic achievement of the students. I like them for they impressed me by their tidiness n politeness. They always well behave in the public.
I didn’t like it. To catholic for me. And the school has a problem with girls doing lines in the bathroom.
