I cannot speak for any other room outside of the infant classes, but we have thoroughly enjoyed our time with this location. As a first time mom, I was very wary and downright upset about leaving my baby for work when she was 3 months old. The infant teachers, Ms. Felicity and Ms. Kim were pivotal in helping me feel comfortable in leaving her in their care. It is very clear to me that she loves them and they love her. Even the weeks leading up to the end of my maternity leave, they encouraged me to bring her in for an hour or two to just hang out in their classroom with her and get a feel with how they operate. They have worked with her from day one on her gross/fine motor skills and social skills and have even helped me with our own routines at home based on their personal experiences as mothers and their professional experiences as teachers. They are in constant communication with me regarding her progress both through the app and before and after school. I even call during the day sometimes and they always take the time to chat for an update. They are also very up front with any bumps or bruises as they happen. It’s not often, but infants will bump their heads while crawling and pulling up on occasion. And they take note of and communicate any changes in behavior and temperature if it’s clear my baby is not feeling like herself. Furthermore, any time we have any concern about anything, it is promptly addressed not only by the teachers, but managerial staff as well. My child is about to transition into the toddler 1 room and we have already been having a great experience with that teacher, Ms. Louise, who has been prepping us on what to expect in these next developmental phases. Once again, I cannot speak to any other classrooms or teachers, but the three who have been taking care of my daughter have been amazing.
I cannot say enough good things about Minnieland Academy at The Glen!
Over the years, I have had all of my children in the care of Ms. Liz, the current Director. I followed her there but admittedly, had reservations about going to Minnieland after the negative press many years ago under a different leadership but under the direction of this dedicated Director, my concerns disappeared and were soon forgotten as she fell into her normal cadence of ensuring accountability, professionalism and a nurturing environment.

As with any person or business, there may be issues along the way but at no time would I second guess trusting my children to her care. There are times we as parents can get emotional and skewed in our thinking when it comes to our babies but I have always found her to be professional and thorough in my interactions which only leads to a deeper respect for her and her mission to ensure the mental and emotional well being of those in her care.

Merit at the Glen is the manifestation of failing education system. The quality of education provided lacks far beyond given this is a private school. Mediocre quality in most aspect of this learning center was experienced during my involvement as a parent. Some management team member and teachers are far beyond organized. Their attitude portrayed clear sign of unwillingness and be involved in resolving issues while playing defense as an ideal trick under their sleeve. Lack of qualification and passion among some management team and teachers were observed during my child’s year at this school. If you are serious about your child’s education and would anticipate a quality experience as a parent here, please save your money and run from this place. My recommendation would be the Prince William Academy few miles down or the Merit school at Spriggs Rd.
