My child has been at Merrivale for three years now and has found the teachers to be warm and attentive. As a parent I found the teachers and office staff to be welcoming and have been able to communicate with them freely. I feel that my requests have been met and any issues that we have bought to their attention have been diffused and sorted upon request. Merrivale is a great community school and we enjoy it so much our second child will be in attendance in 2019.
I could not speak highly enough about the strong community involvement that the school encourages and supports. I have been involved with merrivale primary school for four years, the staff at the school have undertaken my dealings with them with the utmost professionalism and in a very timely manner. The staff at merrivale in my years if experience go above and beyond, to ensure that the lines of communication between teaching staff and parents remain open at all times. Any concerns i have had as a parent have been dealt with in a timely and considerate manner.
I have always felt the utmost transperancy from this school, looking forward to many more happy years at Merrivale.
My son Cael loves Merrivale Primary School. His first school was in another state and it was extremely challenging to convince him to go to school every day. He loves Merrivale Primary School. According to him it’s the “best school ever” and he thought his teacher Miss McCosh – who taught him last year – was the “best teacher ever” but now Mr T gets the same praise. I have a happy boy who loves school and I couldn’t ask for anything more as a parent.
It was a fairly good school, however there were teacher’s favourites getting awards almost or every week in assembly. There are quite a few opportunities. Not as good as it used to be so I recommend it up to you whether U send your kids there
I have worked at Merrivale Primary School for the past 18 years. I love the small school, strong community feel so much that my own children attend Merrivale PS. It really is a small school with BIG OPPORTUNITIES! The students abide by the school agreements of Mutual Respect, Attentive Listening, Appreciations/No Put Downs, Personal Best and Right to Participate. The wellbeing curriculum focusses on building the students 24 character strengths and making sure that all students are safe, happy and thriving. We have a primary welfare officer who assists both students and parents with any issues they are experiencing both at school and home. Students learn to resolve conflict through restorative conferences and work to change behaviour, not purely punish ‘bad choices’. In my experience Merrivale Primary School really is the place to be!
