My classmates and I started march 12 in the health unit coordinator program and the first week and half we didnt have an instructor, this shouldve been the first red flag, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because stuff happens. But around week 10 our instructor we had for 8 weeks quit and we had a substitute instructor. We had to speed through 5 chapter so of reading in a day and do 5 chapters of homework in a day!!! Then have to do 2-3 test the last week of school. We had no help getting job placement, they helped with interviewing skills but my classmates and i are struggling to find jobs for the field we got our certificates in!! They still havent posted our class picture on the Page and its been a week. I wanted to leave a good review but The bad outweighs the good.
I took me a good six months to decide which school I wanted to attend for Sterile Processing, I ended up at MHA because of the great reviews and location and I have ZERO regrets. Mrs. Melissa is one of the best teachers I have ever had in my entire life and I came out of the class knowing exactly what I needed to be a great SPT/CPT. She really took time to create materials for us that were easy to understand and remember, and did everything in her power to make sure we passed with flying colors. I thank her and MHA for giving me a jump point to start my life. Off to Corewell I go!
I am very pleased with my decision to take up Sterile processing with this school. I absolutely love my instructor Melissa, she goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand the material all the while making it fun to learn ?? Honestly all the staff are welcoming, helpful, supportive, and make it their business to get to know everyone individually. I graduate soon and with the support of Michigan Healthcare Academy I am very confident and prepared to take the State Exam ?? Thank you Melissa, Danielle, and Mrs Cheeks, you absolutely rock!!!
