MIA is a great school and a place to send kids to be future leaders with well established positive character. Three of our kids attended MIA and are now attending U of Michigan and Case Western Reserve University. One of our kids graduated from MIA and now attending dental graduate school. MIA has expanded its facilities and added modern classrooms, science labs, and a brand new gym. What we like about the school is the dedication of the administration, staff and teachers and the strong multicultural environment. The school provides outstanding number of extracurricular activities ranging from student clubs, national honor societies and state wide competitions. Every student at MIA has ample opportunity to be active in multiple leadership and academic activities. The school has unique clubs that are hard to find in other schools due to the diversity of expertises of its staff, teachers and stakeholders. MIA parents participate in tens of activities and wonderful gatherings throughout the year. MIA students practice public speaking, presentation skills in all media and are drilled through a series of communication skills practices that are paced across curriculum at all levels. Another unique attribute to MIA are the tens of activities and involvement opportunities that are provided to students beyond the border of the school. MIA students enjoy participation is out of town and some out of state field trips, conferences, symposia and the like. Good job MIA and we wish you continuous prosperity.
I have three children and all of them attend MIA, one of them graduated last year. We absolutely love the school it has a homey like environment that welcomed us, so it became lie a second home for my kids.
Staff and teachers are highly qualified, dedicated, caring and supportive. The school offers great education, wonderful Quran and Arabic program, plethora of extra curricular activities for students to engage in and build their leadership character, counseling, SAT prep classes, and a wonderful opportunity of a dual enrollment program for high school students. The school does a great job integrating Islamic values in their curriculum that helps students grow to be proud Muslims. I can’t imagine myself enrolling my kids at any other school. If you are looking for a school that provide a whole package of building strong Islamic character and great education Michigan Islamic Academy is the school no doubt about it.
Michigan Islamic Academy is a well-rounded school with excellent academics and dedicated, highly-qualified teachers who care tremendously for the students. Islamic principles are woven into the core curriculum and most impressive are the methods in which MIA employs to empower their students. Students are heavily involved in their education and are given the opportunity to take on leadership roles. For a school with a small population and small classroom sizes, the opportunities are endless. There are various clubs for students to choose from including NHS, SGO, MUN, Arabic Honors Society, Health Club, Yearbook, Robotics, School Improvement Club, and U of M’s Peer2Peer. If you’re looking for a holistic education for your child in a safe, Islamic, diverse environment, then look no further. MIA is a rare gem of a school.
