I absolutely adore the school! My child has shown so much growth from 6th grade till now! From being on high honor roll, student of the month, in honors classes, section leader of the band, competing in competition,and now heading to high school. I love this school is great?? it’s very Hands-On and it gives every child the attention that they need no one feels left out nor do they feel left behind. It’s an arraignment of activities during and after school. It has everything I need to ensure my child is well-rounded. I feel like I picked the perfect school for my child, I love it so much I am enrolling my youngest daughter there as well! I would like to thank Michigan Math and Science Academy for everything they have done for my child physically mentally and emotionally my child loves the school and I’m thankful we found it! I would like to give a special shout-out to a few staff members that always go above and beyond! Miss Kay Mr Martinez Miss Phillips Miss Dilly and Mr Collins thank you for everything you’ve done for my child you have no idea how big of an impact you all have on her! How much you guys have changed her and molded her to become a better person and I can never repay you guys for that!
I spoke with Ms Whitehead today she was extremely helpful. I did call early this morning with multiple questions and she was able to answer them all. She was very informative and professional. My child does not attend this school but I am looking forward to placing him here… and she made me feel comfortable enough to move forward with doing so. She was a great voice for the school and to be the first person I had to go through who was as professional and helpful as she was, is a very great thing for this place. I read the other reviews and everyone had their own experience (good or bad) but to each is own. I will pray before I make any moves and just hope if this is the place God leads me to for my son.. I pray its the best one!
Please do not send your child here if they have a IEP the school is terrible Miss Jackson is terrible everyone thats involved in a special education department my daughter been going here since the 6 gradeIll tell these teachers over and over so contact me if my child fall behind They have not this school is terrible It is called Michigan math and science academy and my daughters doing terrible in math . Her last year which is this year is the most worst year she have ever had every since they get a new resource teacher she have not had no type of improvement. Her other teacher Miss Thibodeau was amazing we was a team and theres only one way street here now its not OK do your research talk to parents.
