My daughters go to this school and it is really sad that they can’t even get a fair and decent education because of how disrupting other students have been in their classes. It is the SAME students acting out and the teachers hands are tied. NOTHING is being done about this. These students are being allowed to come back to school and continue making it miserable for the teachers and others alike. I work directly to the south of the school and EVERY SINGLE DAY anywhere from 2 to 4 students from the Midvale MIddle school run past our building as they are skipping school. I call the school to “inform” them that kids are skipping and they have told me “okay we’ll check the cameras to see who it is” and that is basically all they can do. My daughter’s tell me stories about how kids have had their cell phones taken and put under water in gym class by another student and then a fight ensues. I do not even understand why they let kids in school even have phones. I don’t care if that is their personal property or not. The cell phone problem is a parent problem more than it is a kid problem. Parents get their middle schooler a phone so that they (as parents) can reach their kids whenever they want. The office has phones the kids can call home on and parents can call if they need to reach their student. This is getting freaking ridiculous! If I didn’t have to work I would personally take my children to another school up on the east side where they don’t have the bullying and kids actually want to learn.

Great faculty in the SALTA program. Knowledgeable and caring! Curriculum is well structured. The school has fostered a positive learning environment. The school leadership team is responsive to parents’ and students’ concerns.

I was particularly impressed by Principal Dau, while she was there. She has always been very positive and determined, demonstrating what a good leader should be.

I was also impressed by the dedication of all faculty members whom we had encountered. If I were a student, I would love to come to school everyday. Shout out to Lambert, Goldberg, Franklin, and McGee. Great teachers make up a great school.

I would give 5 stars to the faculty without hesitation!

However, some students need more motivation and discipline. The polarization of the student body is alarming at this age level. It seems a torture for some to sit in the classroom. Perhaps, they do not belong to the classroom. While they are prohibited, some students play smartphones and curse all around.

Sadly, I would have to give the student body 2 stars.

This is the BEST MIDDLE SCHOOL EVER! I just started school today on the 23rd ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I would DEFINITELY recommend you to bring your child here! The school was just built in 2017 so it’s still new! There is NO BULLYING WHAT SO EVER EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND SWEET! 5 STARS!!!
