I’m a new Adult piano student, who plays “a little” by ear, yet DO NOT KNOW how to read piano music, because it looked difficult to read, and was difficult for me to learn to play. Mr. Orlando Johnson is my instructor, I’ve only had two lessons with him so far, and I’m really ENJOYING my sessions with him. He’s very patient with me; as well as, very passionate about teaching me the “proper/correct” techniques in playing. He’s also teaching me “music theory”, which helps my understanding of music a lot; especially, when the time comes for me to play during my lesson. Thank you MIFAL, Inc., and Mr. Orlando for allowing me to be one of your students, and for showing me that I’m never too old to learn how to read and play piano music.??.

In my humble opinion; music is a universal language. Prior to becoming a student at MIFAL I simply enjoyed music, after the first day of class I began to understand why. It was a great experience!
The following are some of the subjects that I learned about:
– musical keys
-musical key relationship to emotion.
-body posture
-hand and wrist position
Additionally, I was given the opportunity to learn not one but two instrument of my choosing at no additional cost.

Working with MIFAL has been an amazing experience! My daughter wanted to learn to play piano. She started working with MIFAL in 2019. Mr. Orlando and the team have been patient, innovative, and effective even through a global pandemic. My daughter continues to take lessons even after my family relocated to a different state. My daughter has learned so much and her skills continue to grow each week. I am truly grateful for MIFAL and the experiences that they have provided for my daughter!
