After reading some unsatisfactory reviews incorrectly representing this school, I felt it was up to me to give you some proper information of what being enrolled in this school is like and whether it is worth it.
Mildura Christian College, situated in the North-Western area of Irymple, is in my opinion one of the best Christian Schools I have ever been too. I have been enrolled in this school since Grade 5, and I am currently approaching graduation from Grade 10. From what I have noticed over the past 5 years is that the teachers there are one of a kind, always so supportive and encouraging. They push you to your very limit, not accepting anything but the best of what you are capable of. The PACE system, though at times strange, challenging, annoying and difficult, actually really helped me to grow in my learning (Once you get used to the scoring system). It encourages independent learning, but also allows for teacher assistance.
One drawback though is the size of the school, as it is a private school it doesn’t have very many students (I think the most students enrolled at one time only just numbered 100).
In terms of spiritual learning, the teachers don’t pressure you to conform to the Christian morals and values, they just expect you to respect their authority and treat them and fellow students as you would expect yourself to be treated (Luke 6:31) I definitely felt like my spiritual journey for Christ benefited from being surrounded by such exemplary models of Christ’s love.
Overall, Mildura Christian College is an excellent Christian school and I would definitely recommend it to people who are looking for a wonderful educational and spiritual environment for their children.
I was in prep and was going towards the line were we lined up at she just walked out as I jumped in the line lost all my lunch made me cry my lunch order went cold and was a horrible teacher kids were constantly burning themselves because they let preps have hot glue guns and it was like a mini jail barrier’s between each kid so they couldn’t talk remember this is all in prep
