I am so fed up with this school! my daughter has been going to Miles Davis since the school was built and I must say the last 8 years have been a joke! the teachers barely come to school and then have the nerve to grade your child as if they are there everyday! no activities for the kids and when they did have them they would disappear the next year. I just heard from my daughter that they are having a daddy daughter dance, what! Really! like I said before my daughter is in 8th grade never once did they have anything like that since she’s been there! guess all the kids before now didn’t have fathers!! now I just got a call today saying they are only giving the kids PB& J sandwiches for lunch because they are having the dance in the lunchroom and the kids have to eat in the gym room, just sad! they just need to start over only a couple more months and she’s out of that sad excuse for a school!
Well it’s an ok school. My son transfered there when he went to kindergarten. I must say his teacher left in the middle of the school year without notice and they had a substitute teacher the rest of the year. Then his first grade teacher seemed as if she was a teacher because she needed the job and miles davis facility was the only school that would except her. So for the most part Miles Davis is a Chicago Public School in the heart of Englewood so I didn’t expect it to have a Private School’s Capabilities, Which I am looking forward to transferring my son to. Other than that if you live in Chicago and near Davis it’s ok to have your child/ren go there! I
