Millennium Brooklyn High School is amazing. My daughter loves that MBHS has a strong academic and personal support team network. Teachers avail themselves at lunch and after school hours to assist students. Although it’s known primarily for humanities, the science, math, 9th grade Quantitative Research is appropriately challenging. The school is extremely conscientious regarding communicating with parents, and places emphasis on personal character, community service, as well as exceptional academics. The administration sets a tone for overall communication, kindness and consideration. I’m so happy that my daughter is afforded the opportunity to learn in this environment.
I went to this school when it was John Jay. I attended from 1966 thru 1969 when graduated. It was an “academic” high school in those days. Many fond and happy memories although turning 18 at graduation and possibly getting drafted into the army wasn’t so much fun. Yet life went on. I’m retired now but remember having our graduation ceremonies at Bishop Ford HS on 20th street. One last comment. Prior to the school being named John Jay it was called Manual Training in the early 1960’s.
IT was a great experience.
