Our son joined in the second term of year 10. This school has been such a life saver. After lockdown we weren’t sure how our son would manage online however the teaching staff are kind, compassionate and dedicated to supporting your child settle and manage their work. Our son has thrived academically since joining, he’s getting support to catch up on work missed and has a brilliant Head of year and mentor to guide him. To note our son is a SEND pupil and for those with children with similar challenges – we strongly recommend this as a supportive environment for your child to learn.
I recommend Minerva – it has really helped my athlete daughter because of the flexible and personalised approach. It has also been a huge relief to have Minerva take the home schooling process off my hands. My daughter has also developed the skills of time management, scheduling and taking responsibility for her work which is an added bonus. Sport psychology was also a helpful addition to the program for her. Academically she’s doing well and her sport has been soaring!
The sense of community, professionalism, and above-and beyond-communication is a testament to the excellent leadership at MVA. We continue to be delighted that we have made the right decision for our son’s education for iGCSEs. It’s a testament to the authenticity and dedication of all those at Minerva that he has settled and is doing so well. They are clearly continuing to build and hone MVA to be at the forefront of online education for children. Their growing numbers continue to highlight how many, though not all, public schools fail to meet the needs of individuals. And the great irony is, while they remain online, which one might assume creates distance, their attention to the importance of interaction, social responsibility and creating a sense of community through inclusion, go far beyond anything I’ve experienced in 10 years of the traditional school system. Highly recommend.
Our daughter joined Minerva in January 2024, and we are absolutely delighted in the positive change that we have seen in her since joining the school.
We love the weekly 1:1 mentor session, well-being session, assemblies that explain what is happening over the week to the children, flipped learning approach and the kind and caring teachers.
The way of working really suits our daughter’s neurodivergent needs and allows her to learn in a flexible, calm environment that she has control over.
The communication between the teachers, leadership team and the parents and children is so helpful and makes everything so clear and easy to follow. All the induction sessions, parent information evenings and emails are super helpful and appreciated. We also love the way the operations team addresses any issues with such speed – it really is impressive!
We are delighted to have our happy, confident child back and only wish that we had enrolled her sooner!
Best thing i ever did was move my son to MVA for his GCSEs. The time saved in travelling and out of lesson school time enabled him to play basketball. MVA provided the most outstading mentorship program and my sons mentor was outstanding reviewing his work every week and helping him schedule basketball time and lesson time so he remained motivated at school. I have high expectations for his results but more importantly i have a happy relaxed son who is now looking forward to re-entering mainstream school for Alevels. I would have kept him at MVA but virtual basketball is a bit challenging 🙂
