I had the privilege of enrolling my child in the outstanding Misty Mountain Learning Center in Puyallup, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience. This school truly stands out for its exceptional teachers, comprehensive curriculum, and enriching educational field trips.

One of the program’s most significant strengths is the dedicated and nurturing team of teachers. They are not just educators but also passionate mentors who understand each child’s unique needs and learning pace. Their commitment to fostering a love for learning is evident from the moment you step into the classroom. The teachers create a warm and inviting environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and critical thinking. They are patient, compassionate, and highly skilled in the Montessori method, ensuring that every child receives the personalized attention they need to thrive.

MMLA is truly a hidden gem. The dedicated teachers, thoughtfully designed curriculum, and engaging educational field trips make it a top choice for parents who seek a holistic and enriching educational experience for their children. My child has blossomed academically, emotionally, and socially, and I am grateful for the foundation this school has provided. I highly recommend this program to any parent looking for a nurturing and comprehensive Montessori education for their child.

My daughter attended preschool here and had the most amazing experience. Misty Mtn was such a loving and nurturing place that helped her grow and learn. The director, Mrs. deAlwis helped her feel safe and loved every day. The lessons were amazing. In fact, the math lessons she was doing in preschool were incredibly challenging and still developmentally appropriate, building upon concepts in a way that allowed her to grasp complex concepts early. The lessons were purposeful and diverse and introduced her to cultures from around the world. I firmly believe one of the reasons my daughter tested into the gifted program in kindergarten was because of her time at Misty Mtn. It’s an amazing school where your child will be loved and cared for and I’m incredibly thankful for the time my daughter attended the school.
I highly recommend Misty Mountain Learning Academy for its Montessori approach to early childhood education. The mix-age classrooms foster a supportive environment where children learn not only academic skills but also valuable practical life skills. This unique blend enhances collaboration and promotes a sense of community among the students. The emphasis on building confidence sets Misty Mountain Learning Academy apart, ensuring that each child develops a strong foundation for future academic and personal success. In this school children are kind, independent and ready to take on challenges ahead!! We were part of this family for 5 years and we have build meaningful relationships with the staff as well as the families that attended during those years!!
