This school is not good for multiple reasons Ill start with the bad staff. The teachers at this school are ok but far from good, some teachers are nice and respectful while others are just rude and have no patience for the students. I went here myself and I had a friend who was hit by a teacher and shortly after he was hit he left the classroom. He transferred to a different school later and he was much more successful than he was at monarch even surpassing his own grade level. The next reason is because of the uncomfortable uniform that the students are required to ware. While this one could be arguable I feel that the uniform (witch consists of a navy blue polo shirt and kakhi pants) is to restricted and students are not allowed to change clothes during gym or outside related classes. Because of this students are not able to move around as easily and I personally think that that the school would be better if students werent required to were the uniform. Another reason is because none of the classes are fun/engaging. This one is also personal opinion but for the years that I went to monarch they had no fun classes and because of that most students were really bored and didnt do as good as they could of. Bullying is also a problem at this school for example my sister who was is 2nd grade at the time was pulled to the ground by her hair, called names and more. She told the teachers about this but they didnt do anything When she told me I told her to hit him if the bully tried to do something to her she did and she got in trouble for defending herself against a bully and had to write a apology letter to the bully and it still continued am no snitch so I decided to take matters into my own hands so I held the kid up by his shirt and told him to stop and after that there was no more bullying. I got in trouble the next day and I tried to explain everything to the staff that I was talking to but they didnt listen to me. To summarize everything this school is bad because of rude teachers, lack of engagement, uncomfortable uniform staff that dont care and bullying
Original principal was clearly a bad fit for the school and community. Poor leadership skills and unhealthy relationship with key teachers and staff resulted in quality employees leaving or be forced out each year. My daughter loved it at the beginning but unhappy with the craziness each day. We moved and transferred to another school. I hope the last two school years are better under the new principal. The children need a heavy structured administration and great support for the teachers. Monarch Academy has great potential.
classes are over crowded, stay with substitute teachers, kids doesnt go on trips, no fun learning activities for the students. Kids are being bullied. Staff seem to not care at all. The school is so unorganized. Its sad…. the children are our future! Please do better.
