Ms. Hisel, Ms. Hughes, and Ms. Heidi are fantastic teachers. My children also enjoyed all their art and music classes. Above that though is where I took issue. Any and all parent participation or assistance was made difficult or near impossible. Having the campus closed for a myriad of reasons with no clear notification of the closure. I tried to eat at least once a week with my child and half the time the campus was closed for testing that was obviously not going on because I could see the lunchroom filled with kids eating lunch. Before quarantine parents were told Field Day would not have parents included, previously parents were invited if not expected to be there to support their kiddos. All of my friends had experiences where their child did not get their lunch, supplies, or messages because there was not enough staff to deliver them, yet the parents were told they could not go to the classroom themselves and deliver it. It honestly approached a point where it seemed as though the school was trying to hide something as it became so difficult to even see our kids during the school day.
The best. So thankful we ended up enrolling my son at this school for Pre K. All of staff is warm and welcoming, they all seem to keep a close eye on the kids. They’re strict but fair, and not demeaning. They are understanding in the needs and wants when it comes to the kids. Makes it easier on my son being away from home where his cousins and other friends are, the fact that he looks forward to going to school and feeling welcomed by his teacher, other staff and of course, around friends. Great curriculum and attention to how the kids treat each other! The kids become so close and my son and friends often hold hands after school or run and hug each other at the playground. It shows that they teach them not only the curriculum but encourage positive relationships among each other and how to be friends. Very pleased so far in the last two years.
My two sons have attended for 6 of the 7 years we have been stationed at Fort Hood.
The front staff is kind and efficient, the teachers are amazing and the play grounds are fairly well maintained.
