My two children attend this school, and I couldn’t be happier. The environment is cheerful, supportive, and incredibly stimulating. The classrooms are stocked with carefully prepared lessons that focus on traditional school subjects like writing, reading, sciences, and math, but also practical life, which includes learning to manage buttons and ties, practice pouring and cleaning, experience with preparing snacks, and grace and courtesy. The teaching philosophy is to develop a child that is intellectually curious, confident, responsible, and kind. My kids have maintained their innate love of learning and are empowered by the rigorous yet individualized educational approach that is Montessori. The AMI-certified teachers and administrators are excellent. My husband and I are proud to be a part of the dedicated parent community that continues to develop and provide even more resources and opportunities for the children. I very strongly recommend the Montessori School of Bowling Green.
I was in the first class that this Montessori had ever had, and I still look back into my memories grateful that my parents put me into this extraordinary preschool. I am now one of the best students in my grade, and one of the most independent and well mannered. (This last sentance was copied off of my report card, not my personal opinion) I also come back to see the teachers and the school quite often and as I look at the little lessons that I used to do, I find that they are being taught my grade level lessons, and the lessons are so planned out perfectly, the Montessori kids could go up to the middle school and get a better score than some sixth graders on a test. If you are looking for a preschool for your child, I can assure you not as a parent, but as a former student that your child is going to be in one of the most safe and friendly environments that they can ever experience. Both of my children go to this school and will continue going through their elementary years. The staff is friendly, courteous and genuinely interested in the growth and wellbeing of both of my children. They are always very open and encouraging for us to come and observe and they have the best activities for the children! The outside play area is magical and the children are always encouraged to be independent and exploratory. The inside is neat and well kept and also has the feeling that makes you want to explore and learn. The children are always helping each other and it really is the place to cultivate creative, independent as well as collaborative thinking. It is entrepreneurial training for children! I love this school, the staff and the teaching more than I can express. It is in my opinion the BEST place to send your children in Bowling Green!
