We moved to Florida from the Kansas City area two years ago and feel so blessed to have found Morning Star School of Pinellas Park!! Our 13 year old daughter, with a dual diagnosis of Down syndrome and autism, is non-verbal so change is very difficult for her. The principal, staff, teachers, paras and therapists are amazing and helped our daughter make a smooth transition. She loves going to school and enjoys participating in the Morning Star School after-school bowling league and dance program. We are excited for the new sensory room that is currently under construction and other programs being offered in the near future! Prior to attending Morning Star School, another parent told me that I would love the feeling of “family” at the school and that is definitely the case. I highly recommend setting up a tour if you are interested in learning more about Morning Star School!
The Morningstar school has truly been a blessing for my son and our entire family! Morningstar is such a loving and encouraging learning environment. The expertise exhibited by the teachers, therapists, assistants, and resource teachers challenges each students unique needs. The teachers are well educated in working with children with varying abilities and needs and are able to adapt their teaching style for each particular child. Being a speech therapist myself, I have worked within a variety of school settings throughout my career, and the education provided at Morningstar School of Pinellas Park is, by far, the best I have ever seen and experienced personally. My son has been attending the Morningstar school for six years. He has blossomed academically and socially. The faculty and staff are truly angels who love my son like family.
Our son just completed his 3rd year at Morning Star School in Pinellas Park and we couldnt be happier.
The teachers and staff are truly amazing. We absolutley love our school principal who genuinely cares about each and every students success.
Our son receives an education that is not only on his level, his IEP and all educational meetings are always focused on how we can catapult him further. They are always on top of this. Depending on your childs IEP and needs the school offers additional services such as Occupational and Speech Therapy. They are currently building a sensory room. Our son enjoys art class as well as music therapy. He is on the bowling team, takes dance classes and yoga. We have school dances, movie nights and so many other opportunities that create a wonderful community.
