Dear students, parents, and faculty of Mornington Secondary College,

As a very dedicated mother in this community I am appalled to see such disgusting behavior emitted from this school. After sending my dear boy, Johnathan, he told me what happened during the video last year. I felt sickened to my core. I will be damn sure not to let my Annabelle attend this disgusting school. There have been reports of year 7 ‘bashings’, toilets reeking of vapes, and moldy classrooms which have caused sickness in students. This school needs serious help otherwise I will be reporting this school to the Education Department and the local council. I am horrified and do not recommend this school for anyone.

Regards,
Mrs. Evelyn Stavrou

This review was previously one star but after some time I believe the school has made progress overall. They have reduced discrimination since the ‘Video’ and offers some extracurricular opportunities such as Chess Club, Fitness Club, etc. Classroom management continues to be a problem, with many teachers struggling to create an acceptable learning environment. In my experience, the workload for VCE students is overwhelming, and homework could be revised to be more flexible and supportive towards students who are employed, making revision homework optional for students would be recommended. The school’s approach to teaching could be more engaging and motivating for students if teachers tried to connect more to their students. Support for students with disabilities are provided, but their effectiveness is only slightly beneficial.
Best school ever. I got laid here. Good times.

Lazy and uninterested teaching staff who lack imagination or any real passion for teaching children. Receiving any kind of communication regarding your child is like pulling teeth. No support or engagement for children that are not academic. Rude office administration team. Uniform policy enforced for some but not others. 1 star for good location otherwise I would advise any prospective families to steer well clear.
