This is a terrible school, despite the numerous positive reviews. Most of those reviews were from a time this school was right and just. But now this school has lost its sense of reason, it has a low sense for the mindset of children and a lesser ability to comprehend the needs of students as a cohort, contributing to both the struggling and prosperous students not receiving adequate support throughout their schooling
My experience at Mother Teresa has been amazing. All staff at Mother Teresa go above and beyond my expectations. Both my girls are very passionate learners and love going to school. They love to read, they love to write, they are challenged in Maths and always encouraged to do their best. The school lives and breaths their motto “creative minds and gentle hearts” I love it when my girls come home and share their day with me.
My child attended this school and has developed a great interest in reading ,writing and numeracy. The teachers are kind and polite. They understand what a child need to love learning. Never received any sort of bullying experience and my child enjoyed time at this school.
I highly recommend this school.
This school punishes children that behave well and doesn’t focus on the kids who play up by punishing whole classes for one child’s poor and often deliberate behaviour. In fact it discourages good behaviours over time as good kids soon realise that if they behave well and listen it doesn’t get acknowledged. My daughter spent many lunchtimes held back due to deliberate acts of sabotage by reoffending spoiled undisciplined kids. She wouldn’t get time to eat her lunch and often would come home hungry with stomach aches and being unwell. Kids in senior years made to sit for hours on a hard floor damaging growing spines creating dramas for kids with scoliosis. Sitting on cold concrete floors to eat during a pandemic was my favourite! Sitting on surfaces where people walk over all day with dirty shoes, then making kids sit there touching floors with their bare hands to eat. Freezing. Getting kidney infections. Maths is not taught. It’s as simple as that. Taking months to teach a jump strategy that is not used in highschool is appalling and detrimental to senior years moving forward as they fall behind mainstream government school standards by far. Children can’t multiply at the end of year six by conventional means. It’s a joke. Some of the good teachers left. One teacher felt it necessary to take of her shoes often and walk around the classroom wirh musty feet showing off toe rings, her class rhem expected to eat off that floor. The same teacher had favourites and blatantly targeted kids into submission. The principal is not proactive in dealing with bullying or issues that could taint school reputation. She ignores glaring daily issues that could be fixed. All in all if I had my time back again I would not send my daughter here. Only saving grace was religious content in class. And mass.
The worst primary catholic school to exist school is very tight money wise education is bad and the only reason parents send their children their is because of the high schools next door also doesn’t even have a canteen and uses covid as an excuse for everything. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE
