the best thing was the way the Maths teacher would go jogging in the forest during class and “leave us to it” with our text books. The science teach would leave early too and ask us to read. We’d just jump out the back window and go home early…
i currently go here and guess what this school worries more about beanies then bullying. i wont deny the school has some amazing teachers who care about what they are teaching and make sure people follow the rules but what the year level coordinators do is talk to the bully about what problem the student has with them which sometimes makes them madder. I’ve seen two students downright threaten to email another student pictures of dead kangaroos after showing him more pictures of dead kangaroo because he coloured in a kangaroo. the teacher didn’t notice till they asked for his email. he then talked to us all about cyber bullying. fights are also kinda common i think there been like 3 this year. its at the start of MARCH. some teachers sometimes don’t notice students walking out off school in plain sight. last year we had just about no access to our lockers during recess and lunch because it was a mess in there. some of the teachers are really nice and give us mentos or other lollies because we came first in a quizizz or blooket or just because were listening. one teacher gave the whole class icy-poles because it was a hot day. it also just looks straight up ugly now, with all the gray
As a past student of Mount Clear College, I am embarrassed to have gone there. The teachers aren’t helpful at all, I get they just want to get paid but they don’t consider the students at all. They care about uniform, gum and AirPods more than they do bullying and fights. I only miss one teacher from there because they cared and asked if we were ok. Mount clear college, worst school.
As much as I like the school and handful of staff, there are many things I find rather unappealing here. Some staff are just downright rude, and while it can be justified by how their days have gone – you should bring a fresh face to each class. Not just that, however, but the uniform policy is far too strict, and does not give students a chance at individuality, as the school may preach it has. Plus the canteen is far too expensive.
