I went to MHNS over 40 years ago and had such wonderful memories! Eventually, all three of my children attended MHNS and you will find families who come back, generation after generation. It was important for me to send my children to a school that not only had an amazing curriculum, but was still a learn through play environment. The staff are nurturing and friendly. We spent 6 years there and couldn’t have been happier. There are so many opportunities to be involved, which was important to me also. MHNS welcomes parent volunteers regularly in the classroom, during special events and through their Parent Group. I volunteered all of my years at MHNS. There is no other school like it!
This school is not a good option in my opinion. My child’s teacher did not maintain appropriate student-teacher boundaries with my child which my child needed to learn. I also observed the teacher leave the children unattended on at least one occasion. Then there’s the snobby mom social to deal with. Not my cup of tea. Also, the teacher we had did a poor and inadequate job of modeling proper manners and greetings between adults for my child.
My son attended the school for 2 years (3 yr and 4 yr programs) and my daughter is currently attending the school. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to the wonderful team of teachers. It has been an excellent experience and the results are visible in the child’s readiness to make a transition to kindergarten. All my wishes for the school to prosper and continue to guide and prepare the kids for a better future.
