Mr J’s Academy is a fantastic school with a unique concept of individualized education for each student. We have two children in their first year at Mr J’s Academy and they have grown academically and emotionally this school year. Whatever your child’s specific need is, Mr J will assess them and then exceed any expectations in teaching them. Our children are more motivated and happier than we’ve ever seen in their school career. They look forward to going to school and are learning so much more than they would in a traditional classroom. Also, at a time when many schools are cutting or eliminating outside play time, Mr J takes the kids to parks and playgrounds and beaches and various outside activities EVERY DAY. They also go to restaurants and Farmers Markets weekly and are constantly learning life-skills and real life education with these experiences. We would recommend Mr J’s Academy to any parent who is considering his school. You will not find the level of personalized education he provides anywhere else. It’s truly an amazing place.

I can never thank Mr. J enough for being such an amazing teacher and role model to our son Gabriel who attended Mr. J’s Academy from 6th thru 8th grades. We were blessed to have found this fascinating school for those three years, that encourages students that they have what it takes to excel and where every child has the capability to succeed. This school gave Gabriel (and our family) a place to belong and where he could grow socially and academically. The field trips were also amazing and it looks as though it has even gotten better.

Mr. J prepared Gabriel educationally for High School beyond our expectations. He now is an 11th grader who attends Rolling Hills Prep and Renaissance School and is in the top of his class (along with a few other students who attended Mr. J’s Academy). We are so proud of the journey that Gabriel has set for himself and thank you Mr. J for helping him get to where we are today. The journey continues…

Mr. J’s Academy is an excellent school. I have a high school son and a middle school son currently attending the academy. Both boys have benefited academically and socially from attending the school. Mr. J is an exceptional teacher and head master. He has a firm but loving demeanor and works well with students and parents. His non judgemental approach to teens is a welcome asset. Mr. J’s staff is professional, efficient, respectful, and warm; in addition to working very well with the kids. Mr. J’s Academy offers a well balanced educational experience that will not disappoint.
