My twin boys attended this wonderful school beginning with the little kids afternoon program, all the way to kindergarten. The little kids’ program is a great way to gently introduce kids to school and, especially, to the Montessori program. The school is very small (it feels more like a home) and only admits 10-12 children every year, so the ratio of teachers per student is unmatched. Kids get a lot of personalized attention and have a great opportunity to learn and grow in a very calm and nurturing environment. As they develop, the curriculum and activities they engage in adapts to their needs, interests, and style of learning. It was amazing to me how they would make great progress in reading and math in short periods of time, without ever feeling like they were under pressure or not enjoying their time at school. My kids moved on to an elementary school with a very rigorous academic program and they never struggled in any of the subjects, they in fact had carried from this early years a love of learning and reading that has been an amazing asset throughout their elementary school years.

Mrs. Payan’s Montessori is the most wonderful environment for children to learn! Our daughter has been attending for over 3 years now, and it is with great sadness that her time at this school has come to an end as she moves onto elementary school. The school is unique for its nurturing atmosphere, high teacher to student ratios, and outstanding academia. The small size of this school means it is intimate with a family atmosphere, creating a safe environment for children to grow and learn. Our daughter has thrived while being a student at this school with the true Montessori techniques implemented into the curriculum. We love all the staff- they are incredibly dedicated, delivering custom teaching to each student, allowing them to grow at their own pace. My daughter has loved attending this school- she has made great friends and has enjoyed the curriculum of art, language and music! I cannot say enough great things about Mrs. Payan’s Montessori – this school has given my daughter strong foundations for her academic life!

For years we had heard Mrs. Payan’s was “the best in Miami,” and we only wish we had started sooner because it most certainly is! Our daughter, who has attended two other schools previously, began here during the pandemic and it was one of the wisest decisions our family has made. Academically, the school is outstanding. The individualized attention, authentic Montessori approach, exceptional teaching staff, and diverse curriculum, including Spanish, French, and the arts, are superb. Moreover, the warm, compassionate, intimate environment cannot be overstated. Our daughter is thriving and comes home happy and enthusiastic about learning every day. She enjoys being in the classroom just as much as she loves playing in Mrs. Payan’s beautiful yard and garden. We have only the highest praise for the school and its wonderful teachers. Mrs. Payan’s is an absolute jewel.
