Great school ,
The teachers do a great job there .
I am, however, not happy with the lack of pick up/ drop-off situation for parents and, most importantly, the young children’s safety.
It is the schools responsibility to have experienced traffic monitors to direct traffic and pedestrians.
Nakita Street is an accident waiting to happen with parents and children left to battle the dangerous unorganised traffic situation with totally inadequate parking arrangements.
I was fined for stopping in the disused “BUS” stopping zone. I have watched dozens of parents leave their cars unattended in that zone as there are little choices.
There is NO zebra crossing, let alone supervision, and WHEN an accident occurs, the school WILL BE RESPONSIBLE due to a lack of DUTY OF CARE for young students ( preps ) and parents.
The principal was notified and I requested a meeting to address this dangerous issue. My concerns were ignored.
Gold Coast City Council WILL fine you $215+ if you are photographed in the BUS zone
I was in my vehicle with headlights on and engine running when my partner dropped off our 5yo inside the gate AS REQUIRED by the school!
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!
Musgrave Hill school should care about their young students and parents!
Obviously they don’t!
A WARNING to all parents and students.
Please take this up with the principal and request EXPERIENCED TRAFFIC SUPERVISION & a ZEBRA CROSSING before someone is hurt.
A petition should be made to the principal of this school.
I hope this is read and actioned by ALL PARENTS.
Thank you.
5 stars all round all my 6 kids have attended Musgrave my youngest 3 are in Prep this year and since starting they have enjoyed school and are happy to go back the next day (considering they are in different classes I can not believe how well they are doing apart). My 10 yr old Cruize started in prep and is in year 5 he has done so well at this school and the teachers he has had over the years have all been great. My older 2 kids loved the school. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s learning teachers are more than happy to provide updates or look at alternative learning methods suited to your child’s learning and or recommend what you could do at home to help. At the end of the day we as parents need to do our part to not only help our children but help the teachers and staff that we trust with our kids to ensure there learning is improving. I recommend this school as over the past 9 yrs I have not thought once about changing my children to another school. Even though I have moved out of the catchment my 3 little ones could still join due to having a sibling still at the primary school. Keep up the good work Musgrave. Ms Stokes, Ms R and Ms Burke best PREP teachers 2019. Happy Mum.
This is my sons first year at Musgrave and it is a fantastic school. The teachers are so friendly and welcoming and the principal is relaxed and easy to talk to. Very happy with the feedback I’m receiving about my sons performance and I always feel they are very open and honest.
I was there from second to fourth grade (around 4 years ago), and that school changed my life, they focus on values a making children grow in a very good environment. They helped me learn English and the teachers are very kind, they encourage children to read. Would totally recommend.
Great school and teachers my daughter is learning well and happy at school. Horrible for parking though and now policing the parking is a bit much we have no designated spots to park. But then get fined if we park anywhere else apart from this it’s amazing and would highly recommend
