A school is the sum of its teachers.
All public school systems pay and treat their teachers abysmally, and MP is no exception. I was there during the height of the Recession, when the admin staff was tasked with cutting some ungodly percentage of teachers on account of reduced budget, so I can attest.
Regardless, I had 5 or so teachers over the course of four years whose approach and curricula still cross my mind and influence my life on a regular basis. For something that I didn’t pay for? That’s incredible.
Overall, it’s a good school. Impersonal, cliquey, dirty, inefficiently massive, yes. But also impactful, and making the best of its lot. Props to the teachers, advisers, administrators, tutors and custodians who actively work to make it a great experience for the students. May you all wind up making a significantly larger percentage of the salary you deserve.
Of course there are problems, firstly it’s a huge school, which might be a little bit disturbing at first. It also isn’t the newest or fanciest school I’ve ever seen.
But that’s about everything negative about MP-High.
I had a great time there and I think I couldn’t have found a better school.
All of my teachers have been very nice and I’ve learned a whole lot! The 7-point grading system is hard, but it is also very supporting because you know that you’ve gotta do sth for school.
As I already sad, I loved MP and I really miss everyone and everything there.
The teachers, the students, and even the security personal are very friendly and welcoming, I can just recomment this High School.
That’s why I’m giving it 5 Stars.
