There is a good amount of age and race diversity in this small campus. It is small enough that you start recognizing people throughout the campus after your first semester but big enough you can avoid people if necessary. The students are friendly and welcoming and I have made lifelong friends here. A lot of the teachers are great and truly care about their students and are willing to help them outside of class. The financial aid can be tricky at times but they always got things worked out in the end. There are fun social events as well as opportunities to listen to various speakers every few weeks throughout the semester (with snacks provided). It is also a beautiful and well maintained campus. I will miss National Park when I have to transfer to a four year University. NPC has truly given me the BEST college experience I could have asked for.
I had to pay $1800 for tuition after my child withdrew by the deadline just to get her transcript was told to appeal and it would take 7-10 days only to be told after two full months they were only refunding $400 and no reason given. I literally had supporting documents and references stating the family crisis. I would never consider sending another child there or myself. Seriously when there is a death in the immediate family do they expect a 17 year old to be able to continue especially since the vehicle she was driving was owned by the now deceased person and the car is taken away leaving her with no transportation… thanks npc you guys really show how much u care.
I am currently a student here and have been for over a yr now. Great place to earn a 2yr degree or tech certificate! A little pricey as far as fees and tuition but the campus is beautiful and the new Student Commons is an awesome addition to the growing campus.
