Yes, the parking issue at the Lankershim location is an issue, but the education is well worth the headache. I know commute from San Fernando to NH just to drop of my child.
I have been driving my kid to this school for some time and I look at the positive things it has to offer.
My kid needed extra attention and he got it.
I am notified of very thing that happens. I love they use the Dojo App, I can see his grades on line and the teachers have always reached out to me in the event something needs my attention.
The intervention program has helped my child. Ms. Scotty is the best and Ms. Ely never gave up on my child. Ms. Menjivar made an impression on my child when he needed a positive role model and I will forever be great full to her.
Class size is reasonable and as a parent I’m not afraid to have a conversation with the staff.
I have my 3 kids in this school since they open to our community and I just so happy for the grown of this school. It is just getting better every day. My kids Love this school. New Horizonen provide them a safe and happy places where they can learnd and grown together with other kids. This school is not perfect but Mr. Tomas the principal and all the teachers and the staffs are working hart every day to make it a better places for our kids. As a perent I also have the responsibility to work hart for my kids school and not just specting that the principal and the staffs will do it all. This school is in the road of being a great school and it takes a community to billed a great school.
The principal is worthless. The talk about it being smaller class sizes, but the teachers are overwhelmed. It constantly smells like raw sewage, where the children are expected to eat their lunch. The facility is too small for the number of children. But really, Mr Thomas, the principal, it’s the driving force behind the rating. He is out of touch with his teachers, the students. He is condescending, when he has zero reason to be. He tries to manipulate situations to the benefit of his own pocketbook. He’s worthless and should be fired and never allowed to work with children ever.
