Stop looking!!! This is the school for you!! Our girls started the 2021-22 school year in 2nd and 5th grade at New Leaf Prep Academy and just like you, we were nervous for the transition. We cannot be happier with the growth and opportunity New Leaf Prep has given both our girls. The hands on nature based approach allows them to be outside in nature (Winter months included) learning more than ever before while allowing them to excel in the areas their little minds gravitate towards. While still being a well rounded academic experience, my girls have found passions in history, reading, and geography like weve never seen. The teachers at this school encourage well rounded students while recognizing strengths and passions for areas in the classroom. My girls are so excited to go to school every single day and get an experience we never dreamed of. Not only are they academically advancing, but because of the Montessori approach at school, they are more responsible at home because they are in the routine of prepping meals, cleaning up after themselves, and helping younger students. Like I said to begin this review, STOP LOOKING!! Get your kids in New Leaf Prep Academy today!
Our kids began at New Leaf Prep Academy when it originally opened and began its first year for the 2021-2022 school year. We have been beyond grateful that we moved them to NLPA and see the difference in them as individuals and also in what and how they are learning. They are in 5th, 3rd, and Kindergarten this year and are absolutely thriving in the learning. Also, there is a beautiful focus on community in the studios here. You will see them getting opportunities to learn and practice and build upon life skills. It is common, daily, to see students sweeping, vacuuming, taking the garbage out at the end of the day, helping in the kitchen and with snacks, mopping, and many other valuable skills to ensure they have a solid community feel and know they are part of something bigger. Its so unique and special. The hands-on, nature-inspired, Montessori style experiences and environment and curriculum has helped our kids make learning strides and connections at their own pace while having a solid grasp of the concepts at the same time. We feel at home at New Leaf Prep Academy.
Extremely disappoint expirence overall last year. All empty promises from the staff on helping our children advance. BELOW average test scores. They aren’t making smarter children here. I have a number of children who went here last year, all of them much prefer the environment and put together teams of teachers in place for special needs, discipline and just overall meeting the actual needs of these students. I wouldnt support this school ever again actually. I strongly urge if you are considering sending your children he re you reconsider.the staff will act like they are going to go above and beyond but everytime Paige and her administrative team fell short .
