My pet peeve is how they group award ceremonies, the gifted children shouldn’t be grouped with the regular students when it comes to acheivements. The gifted kids take High SCHOOL advanced classes. So a student getting straight A’s on the averge level gets the same rewards as the gifted, or the gifted not acknowledged because they made Bs. The top performers of academic subjects are rewarded by grade, not by level.
It is also unfortunate they don’t have a PTA. I would have loved to help with that, so they could have more firld trips and school activities. The elective teachers ask you to supplies a lot and sometimes try to tie it into the grade. You can’t do that in a title I school. And their trying to Build up the robotics program, which is at a very basic stage.
