The management of the institute is very bad. After they pay the money, they do not pay attention to the student at all, and anything you ask of them, they will tell you no. I was studying with them and asked for a leave, and Elianas manner was very rude, and anything I asked she said no. I asked her to transfer from the Jackson Heights branch to another branch and she told me. No, and then I went on vacation to my town, then I got a job there, and I cannot return to the institute to complete my studies. I sent them a message that I got a job and I want to complete distance learning, and in addition, they have distance learning, and yet she told me no, you will not study remotely. Unless you pay $200 more than the tuition fees for studying abroad, this is illogical and very bad. They do not take into consideration the students circumstances. They rob them. It is very bad and they are not cooperative after the payment is made ?? especially Eliana and this man who wears a large earring with his ear, I do not know his name, and also a second man. They took him very seriously. He was sitting next to Eliana and he was bald. I am telling you now so that you do not deal with them because it is a very bad institute, neither in terms of style nor the love that the institute has. It is not very dirty, and also the institute itself in the classroom itself smells bad because of the many students in one classroom. This means that they just want to collect money and group students on top of each other in classes. You have to go during study time and see for yourselves the number of students in the classes, especially when they move from one class to another, the campus and the institute are very crowded to the point that students cannot walk and the smell is very bad. The employees are bad, their policies are bad, and the institute is bad
I had an excellent experience at the New York Language Center in Queens. It stands out as one of the best ESL schools in New York. The entire staff is exceptionally supportive, with a special mention to the International Student Office, which has been remarkably cooperative regarding my F1 status, vacation, 120 extensions, and financial support.
Daniel Costa, Liliana, and Rodolfo at the international office consistently prioritize maintaining F1 student status and provide valuable resources for vacations. I received a 35% discount on my course tuition fee, approximately $1100 every 20 weeks, which has been immensely beneficial, subject to certain conditions.
The school’s easygoing atmosphere is complemented by abundant student resources and study materials. The professional and friendly teachers address individual weaknesses, offering personalized attention. The curriculum emphasizes professional English, Academic English, and everyday usage, including American English.
For more advanced students, specialized courses such as Business English, TOEFL, and Listening and Speaking are offered. The Listening and Speaking course introduces fascinating books, like the recent National Geographic Voices 7, providing valuable insights into American culture.
Antonet, the academic advisor, consistently ensures student performance and comfort. End-of-course surveys, conducted anonymously, reflect the school’s commitment to improvement. Weekly extracurricular activities at different New York City attractions on Fridays not only create a vibrant social atmosphere but also offer a fun and effective method for language learning.
Overall, the New York Language Center in Queens provides a conducive environment for learning English, with supportive staff, engaging courses, and enjoyable extracurricular activities.
This semester, there is a new student in the class He will ask a lot of questions to the teacher in each class. The teacher will also explain different problems to this student. Of course, you can ask questions to solve problems if you don’t understand. However, there are so many students in our class, and he does this every class, which takes a lot of time. As a result, the opportunities for the teacher to interact with other students are much less, and there is almost no interaction with the teacher. Most of the interaction is spent on this student, which is not a one-on-one teaching course! This is not my own idea, many students have discussed it in private. Last semester, although there were also many classmates asking questions from the teacher, the teacher was able to handle them in a balanced manner. However, we have not seen such an exaggerated situation this semester. I would not waste my time studying with such selfish and troublesome students. If I attend classes with this classmate for a long time, then I won’t accept it.
