Good school, caring teachers. Please make sure to check that your student is in the right courses. My daughter transferred to NPHS and it was “assumed” she had completed algebra. We trusted the school’s counselors, to put her in the correct classes. It was not until she was failing Algebra II and we were getting ready to have her tested for learning disabilities, that the counselor “discovered” she had not taken Algebra I. Extremely frustrating and a valuable lesson learned.
The highschool is a great place, but your experience is honestly what you make of it. I had some fantastic teachers that I will always be appreciative of (Mr. Johnson, Cameo, Mrs. Makari, and Ms. Walker). However if there were changes to be made I would reccomend implimenting a stricter punishment for acts of bullying, and refining their bathrooms. Every place has its ups and downs, but overall this school is doing its best and has the students success as its priority.
Love this school. The teacher’s are great and the faculty actually know what they are doing. Definitely recommend taking Chem with O’Neill and Math Analysis with Brock. The aquatics program is very good and will keep improving as the new coach gets used to the way that things work.
