I have to agree about the above stated for the Assistant Principal Mrs. Young. She was unprofessional when I wanted answers to questions about the process of changing the after school set up for my children. From the minute she spoke to me she had her guard up and not to mention the same secretary that went to call her was just as rude. I don’t appreciate that kind of behavior at all, If parents have questions they should provide answers without being criticizing of parents. And sadly they continue to regard parents as though we are inconveniencing them. Dr. Arnoldo Barrera and Mrs. Krista Kuwamura have shown great leadership above all and they are friendly and approachable. I can’t say enough about Mrs. Rossano and Mrs. Jungmann, they are great teachers they have the right attitude and I see how well they care for my boys, I am very grateful for them.
This is the worst possible place to have your child attend. Take a serious look at charter schools or private if you have to live in the neighborhood. There is no discipline, the teachers are all inexperienced. The students in the classrooms are either bored or running wild. There is a dual language program that is a joke with a washed down curriculum that leaves English speaking students knowing little or no Spanish and Spanish speaking students speaking little English. The principal is more concerned about image and her precious bilingual students than running a school for everyone. There is only one African American teacher on staff but African American students everywhere on the campus. I’ve had two kids there for four years and we are going to a charter next year.
